How the price is calculated
House cleaning is priced per visit from the size of the home. Bedrooms are the quickest honest measure: a base price for the visit, plus a rate per bedroom. Bathrooms, the inside of the fridge or oven, interior windows and baseboards are extras on top.
Recurring cleaning costs less per visit than a one-time cleaning because the home never gets far behind, so the calculator takes 15% off weekly visits, 10% off every two weeks and 5% off monthly, then shows the monthly total. A weekly visit counts as about 4.33 cleanings a month, every two weeks as about 2.17.
Typical prices
- Standard cleaning, 2 bedrooms: about $120 to $180 one time
- Standard cleaning, 3 bedrooms, 2 baths: about $150 to $250 one time, often $140 to $190 every two weeks
- Deep cleaning: about 1.5 to 2 times a standard cleaning
- Move-in or move-out, empty home: about 2 times a standard cleaning, more with inside cabinets and appliances
The rates here are typical for an insured company in the US. Large metros run higher, rural areas lower. Read how much to charge for house cleaning for the full method and house cleaning prices per hour if you think in hours.
For cleaning companies
The same calculator goes on your website with your own base price, rate per bedroom, extras and discounts, and your clients see your price at 9 p.m. instead of calling three companies. Leads arrive with the home, the extras and the plan they picked.
